Summertime is coming upon us quickly (yay!) and it is a great time of year to plan a get together with your team. We would love it if you could be thinking about when you would like to plan your party and what you would like to do. Please share via the comments section what ideas you have.

The last time I met with the team leaders Connie stepped up and was willing to take on the role of organizing social events and whatnot. I'll put a bug in her ear. :-)
ReplyDeleteOn that note, just throwing this out there but in terms of team building proper delegation is something that I'm really starting to see the value in. I'm seeing it as something that gives the team leaders a lot of opportunity to grow. So I've been trying to be more intentional about steadily looking for ways to give them "bite sized nuggets" of responsibility that they can own. So far it's been very cool. And the result seems reciprocal in that it frees me up to take care of them so they can take better care of the team. It took me a long time to "get" delegation but I'm starting to now view it as essential as opposed to optional.
So yeah, now I'm trying to take that idea of ownership and apply it to the team as a whole. I really liked Gerald's idea of involving his whole team in doing devotionals so I totally stole it. We tried it this past week and it went really well.
Anyone else have any ideas I can pirate?
